Inverewe House, situated in the heart of the internationally renowned Inverewe Garden, has opened to the public following a £2million restoration and reinvigoration. We created a brand and exhibition for the House that captures the spirit of the spectacular garden and reflects the eccentricity, energy and vision of Mairi Sawyer, who built the house in the 1930s, and her father Osgood Mackenzie, who first established the garden in the 1860s.
The House is the first 'activation' of the new brand and the brave, bold and inspiring brief was to create an experience not seen before at NTS. We have done this with ‘light touch’ interpretation and a surprise hiding in every nook and cranny. The result is an experience that delights visitors from all over the world - from families with young children to botanical experts - to learn, discover and be inspired by Inverewe. The visitor comments are the best we’ve seen.
